For Military Applications one of the products is Paracord. It is used to manufacture survival gear including survival bracelets and belts, lanyards, luggage tags and gun slings. The cord proves useful in many instances where it can be substituted for rope as it has high break strength but it is not too heavy to carry.
A great all-around rope for balloon operations is a double-braided rope from durable polyester fiber, this rope is extremely flexible, easily spliced and knotted, long-wearing and tough. The smooth braid is easy on hands and resists wear and chafing. A special manufacturing process removes most of the elasticity and adds stability. This 1/2 inch rope has a tensile strength of 3600 kgs. Latest innovations include Aramid Tethers which we have developed various types for defence establishments.
Twisted Polyester Rope provides high strength with a low stretch factor. They are a better choice for lesser elongation or static applications. Polyester Rope have excellent abrasion & UV resistance.
Nylon ropes provide high strength and high stretch factor. It stretches at around 15-28% at break, which is almost double the stretch of the polyester fibre. Nylon rope is great for shock absorption making it a clear choice for mooring and towing activities and certain anchoring applications. Nylon ropes are resistance to abrasion, UV rays, mildew, rot and chemical exposure.
A twisted nylon rope will give you a more balanced rope that will hang straight and not kink.
